SVILUPPO DI UN MODELLO DI VALUTAZIONE DEGLI SCENARI ENERGETICI PER L’ITALIA ALL’ORIZZONTE 2050 CON APPROCCIO INTEGRATO SOCIO-ECONOMICO ED AMBIENTALE

ABSTRACT:

The need to decarbonize the entire economy by 2050 is a stringent constraint on energy choices as of now. The scenarios produced at the ministerial level suffer the limit of taking into account only the approved policies and struggle to assess the sensitivity of economic and environmental performance to the alternative choices made. The study, starting from existing and available tools, aims to model today's Italian energy system and evaluate its evolution with different investment paths, both on the demand and supply side of energy in order to understand the effectiveness of the different possible options. We intend to take into account the entire energy sector, industry, civil, transport and their interaction, to "weigh" the sector policies, using open access modelling software. The aim is to make available for the Research Centre Levi Cases a modelling tool for energy scenarios, to be available for energy analyses for Italy and to be further developed to include the assessment of socio-economic and environmental aspects. A regional specification of the analysis will also be produced if reliable data will be available.
