The research is aimed at the study and forecasting of the dynamics and strategies that are being implemented at this stage of imminent transition between energy paradigms.

Typical examples are: the development of cross-country renewable energy technologies such as photovoltaic, wind, biomass, hydropower in various sizes and more; nuclear power dynamics after Fukushima in several leading countries; the issues of development of the productions of conventional and unconventional oil resources; production and supplies of conventional and unconventional natural gas; strategies for revitalizing the production of shale oil and shale gas in the US and elsewhere, resulting in the strategic assessment of future impact at world level; the role of coal in China and elsewhere; the proposed development of individual mobility and competing technologies (electric mobility, hydrogen fuel cells, biofuels, storage systems); climate and demographic aspects in relation to the upcoming changes.
